New Look & The Art of Creativity

Fresh!

Lot’s of new stuff going on at DestroyYourComputer! I was having some trouble with the old design, so I decided to finish up the new one I had sitting around! This version should be much easier to look at. Also, I just noticed it even works in IE! Dunno how many versions back it will though!

I’ve also been working on my new book called “The Art of Creativity”. It will be available on my website for free as an e-Book, as well as through a limited run in print. The book is focused on finding inspiration in everyday things and re-igniting your passion for life! It should be done before the end of the year, so expect it’s release soon!

Hope everyone is enjoying the transition from summer back into the colder months! Almost ready to snow here.

Thursday, October 8th, 2009

DestroyYourMoonYou can watch it live on NASA TV, or you can find a 10″+ telescope and see it for yourself!

Another super awesome perfect idea from the government, they always seem to come up with the best ideas!

From their site:

NASA’s Lunar CRater Observation and Sensing Satellite (LCROSS) mission will come to a dramatic conclusion at approximately 4:30 a.m. PDT (7:30 a.m. EDT) on Friday, Oct 9, 2009, with the impact of the LCROSS Centaur upper stage rocket and four minutes later, the impact of the LCROSS Shepherding Spacecraft into Cabeus crater near the moon’s south pole. To mark the event, NASA Ames Research Center is hosting ‘LCROSS Impact Night.’ News media are invited to cover the three-part event that is open to the public and free of charge.

Flash OFFICIALLY On The iPhone!

Wednesday, October 7th, 2009

That’s right! Adobe announced a short while back at MAX that Flash Professional CS5 will be able to output real iPhone App’s that can go into the iPhone App Store! Here’s a brief snip from adobe, make sure you check out the video, which shows a few Apps already in the App Store!

Flash Professional CS5 will enable you to build applications for iPhone and iPod touch using ActionScript 3. These applications can be delivered to iPhone and iPod touch users through the Apple App Store.

A public beta of Flash Professional CS5 with prerelease support for building applications for iPhone is planned for later this year.

If you are looking to start developing App’s for the iPhone, check into this article from Adobe. There is also a very comprehensive FAQ on developing AS3 for the iPhone and a developers forum. I would also sign up to find out when the beta becomes available.

This is going to be a very interesting development for the iPhone! Expect DestroyYourComputer to release plenty of App’s in the near future!
